Costs and fees

A deposit of £50 is payable on confirmation of a place. A place on a course cannot be guaranteed until the deposit has been received.
Friends as visitors: Whilst residential students take priority, students may apply for friends and family to come with them to the College on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. The booking will be confirmed or otherwise six weeks before the student's course, together with the fee.
Carers: Carers not attending a course who come solely to look after a student sharing one of the specially adapted rooms: £25 including all meals.
Private Study: Those wishing to use the College for study on their own or as a base for a visit to the area. Fee on application.
Group Bookings: Subject to space, groups of 10 students or more may apply to make a booking for customised events e.g. training workshops, courses of their own choice. For details contact the the Head of Courses/Programme Planner for special rate.
Fee increases: The College reserves the right to increase the fees during the year should circumstances necessitate.
Other charges: Details are circulated with the course agendas six weeks before courses begin. Contact the Courses Department at the College at any time for an indication of any extra course charges.
Ensuite/Non-Ensuite Room: Please note: room preferences cannot be guaranteed. If you have paid for an ensuite room and we are unable to provide it your overpayment will refunded. If you have paid for non-ensuite accommodation and we are unable to provide it the appropriate fee for an ensuite room must be paid.
Payment: Can be made by cheque (payable to Denman College) or by credit card.
What does the cost include?
Resident students: your fee includes your tuition costs, all your food and accommodation. Non-resident students: your fee includes your tuition costs and all meals (except breakfast). For 2007/2008 some courses carry an extra charge for equipment, ingredients and trips out etc, details are circulated with the course agendas six weeks before courses begin. For 2008/2009 your fee also includes travel and entrance fees for visits and ingredients for cookery courses.  Materials for art and craft courses are NOT included in the course fee.
